Description
The 1935 New Zealand half crown reverse
shows the NZ Shield of Arms embellished with
Maori designs, with the Royal Crown above.
The shield shows the Southern Cross, a sheaf
of wheat, a lamb suspended by a ribbon, and
mining hammers, with 3 ships in between.
‘NEW ZEALAND HALF CROWN’ surrounds
the main design, with the date below.
The obverse features the crowned bust
of King George V facing left.
The legend ‘GEORGE V KING’ is to the left,
and ‘EMPEROR’ to the right.
